Tour Overview

This 2-day Machu Picchu Bimodal tour from Cusco is designed for travelers who want a flexible, comfortable, and well-paced visit to one of the world’s most iconic destinations. Travel via a combination of bus and train to Aguas Calientes, stay overnight in the charming town, and enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu the next morning—all with logistics fully handled.

Your adventure begins around 6:00 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Depending on the departure, you’ll either board a direct train from San Pedro station or take a bus to Ollantaytambo and then transfer to the Expedition Train to reach Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).

After check-in and lunch in town, the afternoon is yours to explore. Wander through artisan markets, visit the museum, or soak in the nearby hot springs (optional). You'll stay in a comfortable 3-star hotel to rest before the highlight of your trip.

On the second day, take the Consettur bus  to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where you’ll explore the Inca citadel with a certified guide. See landmarks like the Temple of the Sun, House of the Inca, agricultural terraces, and Intihuatana, a sacred solar clock carved in stone. The exact circuit will depend on availability, but all routes offer unforgettable views.

Optional add-ons such as hikes to Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, or Intipunku  can be arranged in advance for an additional fee.

After the tour, enjoy lunch in Aguas Calientes before returning by train and bus to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
